Just to let you all know before I start:

This song belongs to the band Yellowcard, and these are NOT the original lyrics. These are fan-lyrics that I put together myself. I personally like this song's original lyrics just fine, but I felt like changing them a bit for the fun of it.

In my fan-lyrics version, the subject of the song is planning on pulling something of a coup 'de ta of sorts (of all things, I know) and is sad about leaving his lover, even more so since she doesn't share his radical ideals. I know it sounds weird, but just try to imagine these lyrics over the regular song's tune.

Before this starts, I just have this to say:

Breathing (c) Yellocard and is modified here ONLY as fan art.

Okay, here we go:

Eyes are feeling heavy, but they never seem to close.
The fan blades on the ceiling spin but the air is never cold.
And even though you're next to me, I still feel so alone.
Tomorrow I'll be gone again to make this world my own.

And I can feel your breathing,
and it's keeping me awake.
Can you feel it beating?
My heart's sinking,
with no escape.

Something I've kept locked away that now has crossed the line.
I don't know if you agree, but you will see in time.
Everything is lost and dead and floats into the air.
The very worst of it all is you don't seem to care.

And I can feel you breathing,
and it's keeping me awake.
Can you feel it beating?
My heart's sinking,
like a weight.

I can feel your breathing!
It's keeping me awake!
I couldn't stop this heart;
it's always beating,
sinking,
with no escape!

How am I supposed to feel about the way things are?
Lately this world went to hell and tore itself apart.
I know I'll have to hurt you;
things will never be the same.
The only world we've ever known, I'll throw it all away.

And I can feel you breathing,
and it's keeping me awake.
Can you feel it beating?
My heart's sinking,
like a weight.

I can feel your breathing!
It's keeping me awake!
I couldn't stop this heart;
it's always beating,
sinking!
No escape!
Sooo, anyway, as you've read above, this is a fan-lyric version of Yellowcard's song Breathing.

I don't know why I re-did it with the lyrics that I did, but I just got the idea after listening to the song for a bit.

Anyway:

Breathing (c) Yellowcard and is used here only (and I mean ONLY) as fan art.
