***EDIT***
Was NOT expecting this to make it on to EqD, especially since I didn't submit it to them myeslf. Thanks to the people at EqD for putting it in the drawfriend, and thanks to whomever recommended this to be put there.

***End of Edit***

A bit of a redesign of Chronos. I did originally make him as my pony-sona (and still intend on using him as such), although I've been trying to refine him as of late into a better character in case I did want to use him in a story.

I've edited him to make his mechanical nature a little more apparent, and have altered his character a ways (edited his past a little and added on to his future).

Just as in my original storyline, he starts off as an average pony, but quickly grew tired of it as he saw no reason why, in a world full of magic, one must be stuck with things such as death, disease, and all the negatives that come along with things. As a result, he started researching alchemy and science, and through his work developed the robotic body he now has.

This is where the difference starts. The big negative to the first robotic forms that Chronos built (like the one he inhabits) is that to get the individual out of their original body and into the robotic one requires a rather elaborate (and often painful) alchemical procedure that combines extreme levels of alchemy and talisman-based magic that can be very risky if not done properly.

Later models of robotic bodies got around this problem, but Chronos is still reminded of the pain he first had to go through to make his dream a reality every now and then.

Chronos' form is that of a robotic alicorn, and thus he has flight and magic abilities. He cannot fly as fast as a typical pegasus, however, and his magic (which is powered by electricity) is somewhat unstable at times. He can, however, travel through time on his own, although his unaided time jumps are brief. As goes equipment (and yes I know this stuff is almost non-existent in-universe) his wing edges are very sharp and can be used as sword blades, and the small steel tubing sticking out of his wing joints are in fact the barrles of simplistic "time cannons" of sort, which can fire a bolt of time itself which freezes a target in time until Chronos manually brings it back into the normal time stream.

Eventually, Chronos built TimeLock castle, a flying fortress where time stands still. The castle has an enchantment on it that allows it to constantly replenish its resources, repair damaged components (by altering time, causality, and other factors), as well as defend itself and travel through time (Chronos uses it to the same effect as, say, a Tardis for long-range time jumps). In addition, there is an enchantment on the castle that prevents living things inside of it from growing old. This enchantment "rubs off", or rather copies itself, onto the inhabitants; after a year of never leaving the castle, they become permanently immortal and will never age even if they are forced out of TimeLock indefinitely.

TimeLock is inhabited by homunculi (synthetic organisms) and automatons. Chronos sees them as his equals and friends (although they tend to be a bit shy around him since he's their creator and authority figure).

Chronos can be mistrusting of organic beings from outside of TimeLock as they have, even recently, criticized him for synthesizing immortality (some see it as an offense to nature, and some see it as devaluing life; both are stances Chronos disagrees with quite strongly) and some have even threatened him and his creations. Now he keeps TimeLock sealed up from the outside world. His fear and anger towards those who have criticized and threatened him can border on developing into something akin to xenophobia at times.

I'm still working on Chronos, but I consider this to be a bit better off.

If you want a good example of a robotic Chronos, look at Chronos from the game Smite. You basically have the same idea, but in more "clockwork"
